"You can't sleep in the sunlight? I find it the best place, because I prefer staying awake at night."
She paused as they turned the corner and turned to face him, a slightly quizzical look on her face. "Have you ever noticed how we're almost complete opposites from each other?"
"For a lot of things, anyways," she said. "You're comfortable with speaking in front of crowds, I'm not. You don't like to talk to your family, and mine is extremely important to me. You like cities, I like the countryside. And now, you are a night person, and I'm a morning person."
He considered it for a moment. "Huh. You're right. They always said opposites attract, but I never really believed that."
"Neither did I," she responded with a thoughtful expression on her face. "I mean, in chemistry, opposites attract, but..." She trailed off before shrugging. "I don't know. It's probably why you're so hard for me to read."
(Opposites attract, which is why they have such good chemistry! Of course!) "Well, I guess that explains why we work so well together. Finally, no more mystery!"
(...god damn it.) She chuckled, ducking her head slightly. "We figured it out," she said amiably. "Now I can die in peace."
(You set yourself up for that one) "Sorry, but you can't die in peace yet. You still haven't seen the pictures of me when I was younger. I can't allow you to die."
"Oh, of course," she said, slapping her hand to her forehead. "How could I forget? How am I doing on your 'test', by the way?"
"The test? Oh, right. It's currently going, hm, pretty good, I'd say. Though, the photos aren't in my possession, unfortunately."
"Oh, what a crazy coincidence," she said, raising an eyebrow. She sighed, and put her hands on her hips, squinting at him. "Don't worry, Craw. I'll see them eventually."
"I'm sure you will, but not any time soon," he replied, smiling mischievously at her. "Unless you want to meet my family. They have them. Unless they got rid of them, that is."
She paused for a moment, squinting up at him. "How badly do you not want to see your family? Also, how much do you love me? Because I need to see those pictures."
"I don't care for seeing them, but I guess it wouldn't hurt," he said, " and I love you to the moon and back, obviously. We'd have to wait a while to visit my parents, and I don't think it would be very fun."
She stepped closer to him and lightly placed her hand on his shoulders. "You don't have to do anything you don't want to," she said gently. "It's not actually a big deal to me."
"Oh, no. It's fine. It's not they ruined my life, so it doesn't bother me that much to see them. They just... Are a bit pushy and controlling."
(Actually very curious to see what they're like.) She watched his face carefully before nodding. "Hm, well in that case, I do need to see a baby Francis in a Boys Scout uniform."
