They got into the room and she sat down on the edge of the bed, holding her hands between her knees.
He sat beside her, rubbing her back gently.
She leaned into his touch, looking up at him gratefully. "Okay... what do we do?"
"We could talk to Owen and discuss or try to go to a higher up."
"A higher up? Like who?"
"I don't know. I'm just trying to think of things."
She nodded. "You're right. Sorry."
"I'm not sure, though."
"Is there any merit to just keep working?"
"Just getting it over with, I suppose."
"I think what we need to do first is figure out exactly what the terms are of the contract."
"I agree. That's a good idea."
"So, where would we go to figure that out?"
"I'm not sure."
"I think it would be suspicious if we just asked to look at it."
"Well, we might as well. Why make it a secret?"
Her brows narrowed but she nodded. "You're right. I'm just paranoid."
"No, it's okay.."
"So... maybe we can just go to Owen and ask to review our contract?"
"Might as well."
