"That's a problem," she said, sounding really upset. "I just... I can't believe you would do something like this. I don't know what to do."
"Yeah, I think you should too," she said, standing up. "You can sleep here tonight; I don't want you going out to look for a place at this hour."
"It's fine," he replied, going to open the door. "I can just stay at hotel and continue in the morning."
She sighed, looking down at the table. "Things... aren't working right now, but I still love you. I'm not going to have you go out in that. Come on."
She hesitated before coming down the stairs to him, wrapping her arms around his waist and taking a deep breath. "Okay," she said quietly.
She kissed his sternum before straightening up, pulling away. Her eyes seemed misty, but she hastily swiped them away, heading up the stairs.
