She hesitated, and shrugged. "Just... that night," she said, taking a deep breath. "It doesn't matter."
He squeezed her hand. He was a bit concerned, but didn't show it. "I see. At least we know we're going to have a good day tomorrow."
"Oh, right," she said, brightening. "I forgot about that for a moment. I can't tell you how excited I am."
"It's going to be good," she said, nodding as they got to their rooms. She glanced up at him. "I have to take a quick shower," she said, squinting slightly. "But I'll be in when I'm done. Is that okay?"
He went to his room, glancing back once before unlocking the door and entering, going to change into his pajamas and lay in bed.
Ten minutes later, she stepped from the shower, squeezing the dripping water from her curls with a towel. She quickly slipped on her pajamas, and went into his room, the door creaking quietly.
Francis was already laying in bed, half-asleep. He shifted slightly when the door creaked, but didn't completely address it.
She flicked the lights with nimble fingers before crawling into bed next to him. She kissed his cheek before lying down, her skin warm from the hot water of her shower. "I love you," she said quietly.
She kissed him forehead with soft lips before resting her head on his chest. Her breathing gradually slowed as she fell asleep.
It only took him a few minutes to fall asleep, as he was already doing so before she came in. He put his arm around lazily, before dozing off again. (Time skip?)
(Lol) Poppy woke up suddenly to her watch beeping an alarm, her grey eyes flickering open. She quickly shut it off. Her head was resting on Francis' chest just below his neck, and her arms were curled between them. She moved her head slightly to look up at him, and lightly kissed him under his chin.
He awoke slowly, stretching as he did. Once he was more awake, he tiredly looked down at her, his eyes were cognac brown in the early light. "Good morning," he said slowly. "Did you sleep well?"
She nodded, relishing the warmth of the bed and the contentment she felt in that moment. "I did," she said quietly, uncurling her body slightly. "How about you?"
He nodded, brushing back his hair. "I did. The only bad part of that I'm going to be sad that I have to get up."
