He blinked, remaining quiet before hesitantly opening an arm for her, as james was in the other. "It'll be alright."
She looked up at him, coming over to him and burying her face in his chest. "I don't know what to do..."
She sniffled, curling her fingers in his shirt. "I'm so... I'm so mad at you, but I miss you so much."
She nodded in agreement. “You were. I don’t know why you did it. I know you said it’s because they told you to, but it still doesn’t feel like anything you would have done, so I’m sitting here wondering if I really know you at all.”
He pulled away, shaking his head. "I'm a different person because of you. I just.. I did it because I was so worried about you. I wanted you to get better."
She looked up at him, knowing it to be true. "I know. But it..." She exhaled shakily, looking down at the ground. "It doesn't excuse it."
She bit her lip, taking a deep breath. "Okay," she said, nodding. "Take Diana to school. Are you taking James too?"
He offered her James. "Would you take him? I need to go get their seats ready and get the car warmed up."
