"She can have some of my eggs!"

 

"I'll go give her some."

 

She took a handful of the omelette and left the room.

 

She came back a few minutes later, the egg still in her hand.

"She didn't want it."

 

She nodded, sliding back in the chair.

 

Poppy's cello music stopped.

 

She entered the kitchen, running her fingers through James' hair affectionately.

 

She gave him a small, tired smile.

"Hey."

 

"Mmhm. Tired," she said, sitting in the chair, brushing her fingers through James' hair. "It's alright, though."

 

"What are you doing?"
