Her shivering didn't really cease and her face twitched as she dreamed, her nose crinkling as she frowned. She muttered under her breath before her eyes flew open with a gasp, her breath getting caught in her throat. She whimpered, clamping a hand to her mouth, not seeming to notice Francis yet, and she buried her face in her hands, her shoulders trembling.
She tensed but pulled her hands slightly away, looking at Francis with watery eyes as she shook, her trembling hands clasped to her mouth.
She whimpered a little, her eyes filling with tears as she sat up slowly. "What's wrong with me, Francis?" she said, little gasps escaping her body as she trembled.
She buried her face in her hands, small sobs shaking her body. "I... I don't know... I gotta do something, though, right? It's ruining everything." Her voice cracked and she pulled her legs to her chest, looking like she wanted to disappear.
He hesitated before putting an arm around her, speaking gently. "It's alright. I'm here for you, okay? We can figure it out together."
"God, Francis. I can't even spend an hour with my husband without freaking out and thinking that he's going to drug me or poison me or something."
