Diana was playing with her dolls, her back to the door. She looked back with a grin, her dimples exposed before her gaze landed on Francis.
Diana stood up, her lower lip trembling as she hurried over to him, quickly wrapping her arms around his neck. "Why do you keep leaving?" she sobbed quietly, her face in his shoulder.
Poppy came over, running her fingers through Francis' hair for a moment before taking James from the crib.
