Later that night, Poppy was asleep next to Francis, curled up against his chest.

 

Her feet were cold, and she got as close to him as she could, her nose brushing his neck.

 

"Francis...?" she murmured after a minute, not opening her eyes.

 

She shifted slightly, slipping her arms around his torso.

"We should probably go upstairs..." she said after a moment. "Get into bed."

 

She kissed under his neck before sitting up sleepily.

 

"Head up to bed, baby," she said gently. "I'll put the blanket away and be up in a minute."

 

She followed him about five minutes later, going into their bedroom.

 

She laughed slightly, closing the door behind him.

"Baby... you should change outta your clothes."

 

She sighed slightly, kneeling down next to him and beginning to slip off his coat.
