Poppy leaned on the counter, teasing George with a grin on her face. She had freckles on the base of her neck that shifted when she shrugged, and she laughed deeply. Kellen looked and noticed Francis. "Good morning!" he said cheerfully. "Want a pancake?"
(Don't you want to be my friend? ;,( ) Francis looked up, a polite smile on his face. "Oh. Sure, I'll have one. Thank you."
(I'm pissed.) Kellen flipped one of the pan and slid the plate over to Francis. "Syrup is on the table," he said, pointing.
(I'll just cry myself to sleep tonight then) He took the plate giving him a nod of appreciation. "Alright. Thank you."
She walked over to the coffee machine, and poured him a cup, pulling open the fridge to get some cream. She slid it across the table towards him just as Clara and Bee came down the stair. "Morning, everyone."
She grinned and patted her belly. "I'm wearing a swimsuit under my dress," she confided. "It's itchy."
"I'm sure you'll forget about that once you start having fun in the water," he reassured. "You can throw rocks, and stuff."
She patted her mother's neck, and Clara set her down. She ran over to him and put her hands on his legs, tapping excitedly. "It will be red."
"A red rock? How about we find a bunch of different colored ones and line them all up. Then, we will all powerful." He grinned.
She grinned with excitement and nodded emphatically, her damp curls flopping around her face. "All powerful," she repeated. Emma cleared the plates and came over to Bee and Francis. "Are you guys ready to go?" she asked, picking up Bee and slinging her over her shoulder, much to the young girl's delight.
"Yes," she said, nodding. "Let's head out." Emma grinned and tossed her head, beckoning for them to follow. She began to skip down the hallway with Bee in her arms, the toddler's hysterical laughter echoing down the hallway.
Francis took Poppy's hand, following Emma and Bee. "Is the lake nice?" he asked, just trying to make conversation.
