She finished counting, and dropped her hands from her face, squinting uncertainly in the darkness. She was quiet for a moment before speaking. "Ooh. Spooky."
"Yep. You're no longer in that room. You're in a different place now, because you teleported. Isn't that neat?"
She reached out a hand, and her fingers closed around his tie which she tugged gently. "Hm... This is you, right?"
"Yes, that's me," he said, chuckling as he took her hand. "Would you like to teleport back to the room now?"
She opened her eyes, and her expression changed to one of delight. "That. is. amazing." She sat down next to him and slid her arms under his to wrap her arms around his torso. "I should do that more often."
She hesitated and then looked up at him, her lips slightly pursed. "Would that be alright?" she asked.
"Most definitely," she said, nodding emphatically. "The best part of sleeping is being hugged by you."
"Is it?" he asked, looking down for a moment. "I'm glad you think that. I really like being near you."
She laughed deeply, the action crinkling the corners of her eyes. "You have a crush on me..." she sang.
"I have a huge crush on you, if me admitting it makes it any better. I really really love you." He said, before picking her up in a playful manner, holding her like he did in the woods and in the observatory. "And, I got you, so I am happy."
She yelped when he picked her up but it quickly turned into a laugh as her head found its resting place underneath his collarbone. "Oh good," she responded. "Just so you know, I really, really love you too."
"Good. We've reached a consensus," he said, kissing her forehead before he put her down on the bed. "And you need to sleep, because you're tired and that is what tired people do." He put his hands on his hips. "And I will be right beside you, okay?"
"Right there." He nodded, crawling over to the spot she patted. He wrapped his arms comfortably around her and kissed her cheek. "Is this okay?"
