She met his gaze, her grey eyes meeting his brown ones. She was quiet for a moment before shaking her head. "I can't believe it's you," she murmured. "I can't believe you're here."
Her eyes fluttered closed for a moment, and then, as if she couldn't wait any longer, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him deeply, her fingers lightly grazing the back of his neck.
(Aww) He seemed surprised at first, but kissed her back, his hand instinctually moving to lightly graze her jaw.
Her fingers ran through his hair, and her kisses were longing and loving. When she finally pulled away for air, her forehead rested against his, and her shoulders rose and fell with her breaths. Her eyes watched him for a moment, almost self consciously. "Sorry," she mumbled sheepishly. "I really missed you."
She hesitated and bit her lip. "You're sure about this?" she asked. "I mean, six months is a long time. Everything could have changed."
She cocked her head slightly, a small smile spreading across her face. "Of course," she said quietly. "It's you, Francis. It's always been you."
(Gotta go play! Be back in about 45 min to an hour!) She nodded quickly. "Yeah," she said. "Amy's going to be wondering where I am."
(Okie dokie!) "Okay," he said, moving past her and opening the door. "I'm glad we managed to resolve things."
She stepped out and looked at him almost in awe. "I can't believe you're here," she said quietly. "I can't believe this happened."
She cocked her head as she walked, thinking carefully. "That last night... I didn't know what to do. I was in such disbelief that Vivienne would do something like that."
Poppy tugged on a curl, still in awe of everything, and she quickly turned on her heel to rejoin the party, her stride smooth and precise.
