(Yep!) Awhile later, Poppy would receive a notification. It was the location of a popular cafe not far from her apartment.
She sat up, and read the notification for a moment before grinning to herself. She responded quickly. "Lovely." * * * At noon the next day, Poppy was walking towards the cafe, her gym bag over her shoulder. She was freshly showered, her hair still slightly damp, and she wore a grey t-shirt and a simple pair of jeans. She doubled checked her watch to make sure that she was going the right way, and it beeped, informing her that she had arrived at her location.
A hand touched her shoulder, and upon turning she would find Francis smiling brightly at her, wearing a white button up with a black tie and pants.
She tensed when his hand landed on her shoulder, and she turned sharply. When she saw it was him, however, she relaxed. "Hey, you," she said, cocking her head slightly.
"I've noticed," she said, tilting her head thoughtfully. "What with being called away from your own congratulations party with phone calls. Do you enjoy it?"
She was still looking at him, her eyes wide. "I just.. I guess I'm just shocked? How... How did she take it?"
"I can help the next person in line!" the cashier called. Frowning, Poppy ordered a tea, and she tapped her finger against the scanner, the device linking her prints to her bank account. Her expression was hard to read, and she stood off to the side, waiting for him.
She paused before looking up at him. "I think I'm just shocked, that's all," she said, shaking her head. "I can't believe you did it." She took a sip of her tea and thought carefully. "She was pretty awful, though, wasn't she?"
