"I came back from the dead," she said, reaching up and holding his head in her hands. "I'm pretty sure I'm invincible now."
"Well, but you basically are," she said. "Would you honestly say that a little piece of paper is going to change how I fell about you?"
"I would not say that," he said, his hand moving back to playing with her hair. "I suppose that makes you my wife, then."
She closed her eyes under his hands, her posture relaxed. "I mean, basically, right? The actual ceremony is just a bunch of formalities."
He watched her, his eyes thoughtful. "That's true, but don't we have to sign something for it to be official?"
"I mean, technically," she said, opening one eye to look at him. "Don't get me wrong, I definitely want to be married to you. I guess I'm just saying I don't think it should determine how much we love each other. I love you as if you were my husband, and I'm pretty sure you love me as if I was your wife. One ceremony shouldn't change that."
"I'm not planning on going anywhere," she said, raising an eyebrow. "Even if I were to remain your fiancée for all eternity. I'm yours. Completely and utterly."
"Hm," she said thoughtfully. "I suppose I can see that." She sat up completely and wrapped her arms around his waist, embracing him.
