"These differences are really adding up," she said, raising an eyebrow. "Maybe we shouldn't get married."
"Lovely," she said with a small grin. "Because I don't plan on letting you go for jinxes or anything else."
She nodded with satisfaction before looking down at her muffin. "Do you want some of this?" she asked, scooting it across the table towards him. "I ordered it, but I'm not terribly hungry."
She squinted at him wth a coy smile. "Is my muffin not good enough for your refined tastes, Mr. I-put-sixty-sugar-cubes-and-chocolate-shavings-into-my-coffee?" she teased.
She reached across the table to hold his hand. "I'm just teasing," she said easily. "I actually really love that you have a sweet tooth. It was a huge relief for me to find out when we first met."
"You were pretty intimidating when we first met, if you can recall," she said, squeezing his hand. "It was nice to see that you had human aspects."
"You were just like... this handsome, intimidating businessman," she said, grinning at him. "It was like you didn't have any weaknesses."
