The breeze flowed in through the window, causing Poppy's hair to fly about wildly. She laughed lightly and pulled it back into a messy bun. "So," she began, "is there anything else about your family I should know before I meet them?"
She hesitated, and when she spoke, there was a note of worry in her voice. "Is there... I don't know. Is there a way I should act around them? You know.. To get them to like me better?"
She watched him for a moment, her hand on her chin, before leaning over to kiss his cheek. "Okay. I love you."
She laughed against his lips. "Pay attention to the road, Craw," she murmured. "No manslaughter, remember?"
