"I won't forget for the rest of the day," she promised coyly, reaching up to kiss the tip of his nose.
She looked up at him lovingly before leaving his arms, sitting up and pushing her hair out of her face. "Don't say it like that," she said, looking over her shoulder at him. "It's family. Family's fun."
"You're family is fun. My family is like it wasn't supposed to be a family so nobody knows what to do."
"Oh, I'm sure that's not true," she replied, looking down at him. "Your mother seems lovely, and I'm sure the rest are lovely too."
She gave him a grin. "It'll all be fine," she agreed. She stretched, and pulled the bag into her lap. "We should probably get ready, right?"
She wrapped her arms around his neck from behind and kissed his cheek. "Don't be like that," she replied. "I'm the one that needs to meet all these people for the first time."
"I know," he said, grinning. "It should be exciting for you. I've lived with these people for more than half my life."
"Oh yes," she replied sarcastically, kissing his cheek. "It should be easy for me to be excited, what with all the praise you've lavished upon them."
She grinned and rested her head on his shoulder. "Truth be told, I am excited," she said. "I get to see where you came from. That's pretty exciting to me."
