He moved towards the mouth of the cave, and kneeled next to the water, shifting the rocks in search of the orange salamanders.
She flipped over a rock and blinked, noticed the bright orange salamander. She reached a hand out, and the creature crawled into her hand. Poppy brought it to her face, and gazed into its eyes, her head cocked slightly.
