She shrugged, unable to keep the grin off her face. "Well, there are other chocolate chip pancakes," she said. "With.. ehm.. more traditional chocolate chips. I don't see why you won't give that one a try, though."
She grinned, exposing her dimples, laughing lightly. "Right. Finish it to spite me. That totally isn't what I want you to do."
Miles and Cal continued their conversation. Eliza looked at her plate and ate quietly, thoughtful listening to the words. "I can be," he said.
"None for me, thank you. I have delicious blueberry pancakes over here that were made by, may I say, absolutely stunning cooks. I don't know them at all, but I've heard they're utterly beautiful."
Eliza chuckled slightly, and Francis frowned. "I don't doubt that, but it would be an insult to not try it."
She grinned at him, pushing a lock of hair out of her face. "I wiiiin," she sang under her breath, biting her lip to keep back her smile and looking at him out of the corner of her eye.
