"Trust me," she said, turning on the shower and plugging the drain. "You don't sound like you trust me. Trust me, okay?"
"Me?!" she asked, clearly offended. The tub was filling up rather quickly. "I am saaaaaaane. Completely noorrmal."
She frowned, and tried to turn the faucet back on. "Do you have any idea who I am? I'm the QUEEN. I could have you beheaded!"
She grinned and turned the faucet back on, filling the tub to the brim. She stopped it at the very last second and nodded with satisfaction. "Good. We didn't spill. That would be bad." She paused for a moment, looking into the water, judging the surface tension, before plunging her entire head into the it, splashing cold water everywhere.
She resurfaced with a gasp, water dripping from her hair. Her teeth were chattering, and droplets of cold water raced down her neck, wetting the collar of her tank top. "W-w-w-why'd you d-d-do that?"
Her grey eyes peered at him, contrasting with the white of the towel. "You should try that, Francis," she said absentmindedly. "I saw so many fish. I think I'm going to go back in. You like fish, right? I'll get you one."
"But Francis," she pleaded, her hands coming up to hold his. "I need to scuba dive. It's my job." Her voice sounded desolate, and she looked up at him imploringly.
He sighed and then stood up. "Stay right here. Don't go in the water," he told her, leaving the room to look for a brush.
