"Oh, God," she said, laughing deeply and resting her head on his chest. "Please tell me you're lying."
She groaned and stood up on her tiptoes to kiss him. "Well, I'm glad you were here." She paused and frowned. "Wait... why were you here?"
"Of course I did," she said with a small sigh. "Loopy Poppy is much more blunt with what she wants than I am, supposedly."
She cleared her throat as a blush warmed her cheeks. "Oh. Well..." She looked up at him. "What do you think?"
She hesitated before speaking, her head cocked. "Well," she said eventually, "yeah. I love being near you, and you spend most nights here anyways." She cleared her throat and then spoke hastily. "But if you don't want to, that's fine. I don't want to make you uncomfortable or rushed or anything."
A slow smile spread across her face and she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. "It's going to be lovely."
