"Damn straight," she muttered, kissing his jaw. She pulled away somewhat reluctantly. "I'm going to go take a shower, okay?"
"Unless you'd like to join me," she said in a deep voice, turning to look back at him with a teasing grin.
She laughed before turning to head into the bathroom, a warm, low sound that was bright in the room. "Fine. I will. Alone."
Poppy came out five minutes later, her hair back in a twisted towel and wearing a grey tank top with simple jeans. The lack of sleeve revealed her freckles that gathered on her shoulder and trailed down her arms. She towel dried her hair as she came over to him, a slight grin on her face. "Hello again."
