She slipped her hand into his, her eyes warm and affectionate. "Thanks for picking me up," she said quietly. As she spoke, Derrick came over, a small smile on his face. He was handsome, with thoughtful eyes that seemed to study Francis intently. His face was kind with the beginnings of smile lines etched into his otherwise serious face. "You must be the famous Craw," he said cheerfully, reaching out a hand for him to shake. "It's good to meet you."
Poppy flushed lightly and looked up at Francis. "Don't listen to him. We don't really have time to talk; I'm always too busy beating him up."
"Yeah. I'm ready. Thanks again, Dee." "No problem. I'll see you tomorrow. Nice meeting you, Francis."
They left the building hand in hand, heading to the car. "Thanks for picking me up," she said, squeezing his hand as she looked up at him.
She gave him a warm smile before looking up at the stars. "The twins," she said idly, pointing up with her free hand.
She smiled and pulled him closer so he could see from her perspective. "See the triangle there?" she asked in his ear, pointing. "That's the curve of the wing."
