"Okay," she said agreeably, her fingers working out the knots in his back. She slipped off his lap and got into the bed, stretching slightly before looking up at him expectantly.
She relaxed instantly. It was an interesting thing how his touch was so impactful, how it instantly gave her a sense of security she didn't know she was lacking. She turned to face him, wrapping her arms around his neck and shifting so that her body was directly by his. "I love you," she murmured quietly, brushing his hair out of his face.
She kissed him back before burying her face in his neck, her fingers drawing small circles on his back. "You're so good to me, Craw," she murmured, her words slightly muffled. "You're just so good."
He shut his eyes, sighing softly. "I really hope so," he replied quietly. "You're the best thing that's ever happened to me."
Her fingers rolled out the tense knots in his back as she held him. "I feel the same, Craw," she murmured, kissing his neck. "You changed everything."
"Goodnight," she replied quietly, kissing his cheek one more time before resting her head against his chest and closing her eyes.
It took Poppy a little longer to fall asleep, but she eventually did so, her head buried in his chest as she drifted off to sleep. (Time skip?)
Poppy shifted sleepily. She had turned in the night so that her back was to Francis and he was holding her from behind, her back to his chest and his arms wrapped around her waist. She sighed contently, placing her hands over his.
She murmured before turning in his arms to rest on her back. She opened her eyes tiredly and watched him for a moment before reaching out to gently caress his jaw, her fingers warm and gentle.
