She led him to her car, a bright red Volkswagen Beetle, and got in the drivers seat. The car started up with a low rumble, and she pulled out of the parking spot, merging onto the main road.
She grinned over at him, tucking her hair behind her ear. The inside of the car was neat and smelt vaguely of oranges, and the back seats were covered with plastic. "You don't even know where we're going yet."
She laughed deeply, adjusting the rearview mirror. "Hm. Sure. Anyway. Yesterday you said your idea of a perfect day was three things. The first one we're going to cover is trying something new."
"Hm," she said as she took the offramp. "I may need to challenge you on that. See exactly where the limits lie."
She raised her eyebrows as they approached a plane on the road. "Huh. What could I do to get you to stop loving me?"
