"It's lovely," she reassured him, her hands resting on his collarbones. She kissed just under his jaw, her lips soft. "I like flirty."
He grinned, pausing for a moment before scooping her up, similar to how he did in the woods, and sitting down, holding her close. " Is that so?"
She gasped with surprise when he picked her up, her eyes wide. When they sat down, however, she smiled almost shyly, and rested her head against his chest. "Yes. I love flirty."
"Then, theoretically, I should love you dearly, right?" she asked, reaching up to kiss him. "I mean, scientifically."
"And as a scientist, I must follow the scientific method. So, by the transitive property, I love you dearly."
She laughed as she kissed him, her hand coming up to caress his face. They were quiet for a moment before she spoke again. "You are everything, Craw," she whispered against his mouth. "You know that, right?"
He pressed his forehead to hers, his eyes watching her with more awe than when he saw the sunset. "And you are everything to me, my love."
Her finger traced his features as she watched him breathlessly, her forehead pressed against his. She studied him and said nothing more, just observed him carefully.
"Okay," she replied quietly. She shifted in his arms slightly, kissing him quickly. "That's a good idea."
"It has," she agreed as they stepped out to the sidewalk and began to head to the car. "Sorry about that."
