She noticed his expression and kissed his cheek.

"He's magnificent," she reassured him.

 

"I'm not," she protested. "He's wonderful."

 

"I laughed at you when I first met you, and you're the most important thing in my life."

 

"How is it different?" she asked, rubbing his back. "I like you both."

 

"And you're a very cute human," she replied. "I can like you both."

 

"Do you want to put him in the tank?"

 

She grinned and led him to the corner.

"I set it up for the other fish," she said. "We should just be able to drop him in there, though."

 

The tank already had the fish swimming around, with pebbles at the bottom and various hiding spots.

 

She wrapped her arms around his waist, resting her head on his chest.

"He seems happy."

 

She reached up and kissed him, her hand brushing his jaw.

"I know how to do a handstand now, by the way," she told him.
