She laughed deeply, crawling over to him.

"You must not know me very well, then."

 

She laughed, sitting on her knees and draping her arms over his shoulders.

"I'm sorry to disappoint, but you aren't even the slightest bit familiar with me," she teased.

 

"Marriage does not automatically make us intimate friends," she said, raising an eyebrow.

 

"Should we?" she murmured as she gave him a light kiss. "Sounds like wishful thinking."

 

"Mmhm," she replied, brushing his hair out of his face. "I mean, who ever heard of a husband and wife who were also best friends? It's ridiculous."

 

Her pulse quickened under his lips and she laughed lightly.

"Totally unrealistic."

 

She looked down at him with a raised eyebrow before joining him.

"Well," she said matter-of-factly, "I guess it's a good thing you and I are only together so we can kiss each other."

 

She pretended to think about it.

"Hm... well, I guess hugging you is a benefit, too..."

 

She went into his arms gladly, pulling her body up against his and resting her head on his shoulder.

"Hm... You're really handsome. Looking at you is definitely a plus."
