She grinned as they stepped out of the car, pulling her gym bag higher on her shoulder. "Come on," she said, extending her hand to him. "Let's go in."
The training center was busy. Poppy led him through the crowd, heading for the simulation lab. "Derrick should be in here..." he mused.
"It is," she agreed. "It's relaxing." They opened the door, and Derrick stood at a desk, looking through papers. "Pops, can we have you..." he began, turning to look. He raised an eyebrow when he saw Francis and he smiled. "Oh! Hi. Francis, right?"
"Uh huh. What's going on?" Poppy interjected. "He's just going to watch, if that's okay. He just got back from a business trip." Derrick raised an eyebrow before nodding. "Sure. Francis, you can be up here with me. Pops, go ahead and head down, okay?" She nodded and kissed Francis' cheek before leaving.
"This is the simultation lab," Derrick said, beckoning him over. "It's where we fabricate scenarios for our agents to fight against. See, there's Poppy." He pointed through the window where Poppy had just walked in. She was stretching as she moved, pulling her arms behind her head.
Derrick tapped a button before speaking. "She knows to expect the attack at any moment." There was a movement off to her side as an expressionless man lunged at her. Poppy sidestepped as another man came up behind her and grabbed her, twisting her arms back roughly. Poppy gasped in pain and Derrick crossed his arms, frowning, but made no effort to stop it.
