She smirked before kissing him lightly. "Oh, come on, baby. It's me, remember? I would never trick you."
She slid off his lap, pausing before standing up quickly and throwing the blanket over his head, running past him into the kitchen and laughing deeply.
He managed to wrap his arms around her waist, and she yelped in surprise between gasps of laughter. "No! I've been caught!"
He grinned moving to where he was between her and the oven. "Patience, my love, and the cookies will come."
She retrieved the blanket from the floor, wrapping it around herself and leaning against the wall to wait. "Are they done?"
"That's the best way," she said sagely, nodding slightly, wrapping the blanket tighter around herself.
