She beamed at him. “Nothing’s perfect, but it’s worth it after fighting through my tears.... and finally you put me first!”
She laughed deeply before continuing. “Baby, it’s you!” She pointed at him. “You’re the one I love! You’re the one I need! You’re the only one I see.”
She tilted her head. “Come on baby, it’s you! You’re the one that gives your all! You’re the one I can always call. When I need you everything stops- finally, you put my love on top!”
Francis looked back, patting the dogs head. "Your mom is crazy, isn't that right, Tom? Isn't that right?"
The dog barked enthusiastically and Poppy laughed, ducking her head slightly. “Come on, Craw! Sing it!”
"No, I get it," she said, turning the volume down slightly. "Really. I get it. It's..." She sighed. "It's fine."
