She laughed lightly, leaning against the windshield. "You're a flirt. You do know I'm engaged to you, yes?"
"So you don't need to flirt with me," she said, leaning back against the windshield. "I'm already yours."
Her dimples were prominent when she smiled and she patted the space next to her, reaching out with her free hand. "C'mere."
She rested her arm over his shoulders, playing with his hair idly as they looked up at the stars. Her breath came out in small clouds from the cold, spiraling out into the winter evening air. "Just like old times," she said quietly in his ear, a slight smile on her face.
She exhaled contentedly, falling silent as they watched the stars. Her breathing relaxed after a while and she pulled him closer, her body curling slightly next to his.
Poppy woke shivering, the cold winter air chilling her skin. She lifted her head slightly, watching the sun come up over the horizon, staining the sky pink. Shifting slightly, she moved closer to Francis, wrapping her arms around his torso.
He sighed, his arms moving slightly to hold her closer. After a moment, his eyes fluttered slightly. "Good morning."
The tip of her nose was cold and she crinkled it when he kissed her before grinning up at him. "Just a little bit."
