“I can sleep too,” she told him. “Or I can draw pictures on your face or something. I’ll keep myself occupied.”
She gave him a sly smile. “Aw, baby,” she cooed, brushing back his hair. She paused before moving fast, pinning him down and beaming at him. “Trust me.”
She laughed before adopting a deep voice, teasing him. "I couldn't just let you disrespect me like that."
She chuckled before relaxing, resting her chin on his sternum. "Sleep. I'll be here when you wake up without a permanent marker."
She brushed her fingers through his hair, watching him carefully. "You too, Craw," she murmured eventually.
