She kissed him back deeply, her hands brushing his jaw before she pulled away reluctantly. "I love you. I'll see you soon," she said, stepping back.
She slung her bag over her shoulder and got to the tent door before blowing him a quick kiss and leaving, the tent flap closing in her wake.
Poppy returned several hours, looking tired. Her hair was messy and she returned to the medicine tent rubbing the back of her neck, her dart gun at her side.
She was evidently weary, but a smile crossed her face when she saw him. "Hey, Craw. How are you feeling?"
She began to work quietly, her fingers soft against his skin. She cleaned the wound meticulously, her head tilted in thought and it took her a while before she spoke again. "Your stitches are healing nicely."
She nodded in agreement. "Yeah. That means I don't have to do them again," she said tiredly, reapplying clean bandages. She stood up and stretched before studying him carefully. "I'm... sorry about today."
She watched him carefully before sitting up on the table next to him and lying down, going gladly into his arms. She kissed his collarbone lightly before resting her cheek on his chest. "It's really good to see you."
She paused but shook her head against his chest, her curls tickling his skin. "I don't think we've had the time. That was a nerve-wracking mission that we were just on."
