She frowned, tilting her head back to look at him, herfingers playing with his hair lightly. “Are you hurt at all?”
She sighed, her fingers trailing up his chest to wrap around his neck. “It’s good to see you,” she murmured, her clear eyes flickering up to meet his.
She buried her face in his neck, the tip of her nose cold against his skin. “How long did it take you to get here?”
Her hair held the familiar scent of lavender and rose water, her curls tickling his nose. Her fingers traced his spine through his shirt and she kissed his neck lightly. “Good. That’s good. I’d feel terrible if if gave you a challenge that you physically couldn’t achieve.”
“I’m well aware,” she replied, her fingers finding the base of his neck. “I’m going to use that to my advantage for the rest of my life.”
