She sighed, shrugging. "I don't really know what he hopes to achieve, to be honest. I already said no.." (I can arrange that if you want.)
"Ach. I guess you're right," she said, rubbing her temples with her fingertips. "I'm just not quite sure what to do about it besides just wait it out." (I gotchu. it might be later in the day, though.)
"That's probably the best idea for now. Not much can be done," he said, putting his cup down for a moment. (ahh thanks)
She blew her hair out of her face in frustration, biting her lip thoughtfully. The waiters began to come around and collect the dishes, and she sat back to let them grab her mostly untouched plate, her gaze unfocused. "This may sound really lame of me," she said eventually, glancing up at him. "But I might go take a quick nap, if it's okay with you." She grinned cheekily at him. "I was kept up a lot of the night because of a certain 'loopy' patient." (that moment when Eluuna has an idea, but it can't happen until later, so she uses sleep to speed up the story. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
"Wow. You're a grandma. But, I guess I can't say anything because I was the loopy one. I'm probably going to stay here a bit. See you later then." (Well, sleeping is the best solution to most problems.)
(you right) "See you," she said. "Don't get too bored." Poppy stood up and left the room, her arms swinging lightly as she walked. She got to her room and unlocked the door with her key. The room was cool, and Poppy crawled onto the bed, dozing off almost as soon as her head hit the pillow. (We could do a time skip unless you wanted something else to happen. I have an idea for when the fight is going to happen, but it's going to be a little while.)
Francis finished his coffee, sitting there for a few minutes before heading back to his room. His strides were long and rhythmic, and he kept his hands in his pockets. Once he got to his room, he sat back onto the bed. (Time skip is all good)
(aww yiss) Poppy woke up blearily to three knocks on her door. "Ms. Abernathy?" The voice floated through her room, and she stared into the darkness. "Dinner is in ten minutes." She frowned. She hadn't intended to sleep that much, but she stood up and opened the door, squinting in the sudden bright lights of the hallway. "Thank you," she said to the young messenger. The girl smiled, and hurried off, presumably to alert more passengers. Poppy stepped out into the hallway and closed the door behind her with a sharp click. She stretched her arms out and headed towards dinner, still slightly sleepy.
Francis was sitting on his bed, messing with his watch again. He gave a stressed sigh, bringing it closer to his face and pressing buttons.
A knock came on Francis' door from another messenger. "Mr. Craw! Dinner is in ten minutes!" The voice was strong and clear but fairly low.
The messenger nodded and walked off, his strides quick and purposeful. The hallway was almost empty except for Poppy, who was just about to turn the corner. She paused and looked back at him sleepily, her hair a little frizzier than normal. "You coming?"
"It was a long nap," she said, frowning, her hand going to her head. "I don't normally sleep that much."
"It's okay. We've all done it once," he said, running a hand through his hair. "This place can make people tired."
She nudged him playfully with her shoulder. They turned into the dining hall where it was, as always, bustling with activity. "Especially if you have to stay up late drying a grown man's hair, and telling him not to build pillow forts."
"You probably thought it was funny, so you can't complain," he said, raising an eyebrow with a small smile.
"Oh, I thought it was hilarious," she said as they sat down. "If I remember correctly, you really wanted to try and outsmart me. When I challenged you to the bet of 'who-can-fall-asleep-first', your first question was asking if it would be okay if you cheated." She shook her head as the waiters started to exit the kitchen and enter the room. "Loopy Francis is a very strange guy."
