She unzipped it and pulled it over them, her head resting on her hand as she settled back down. "Sleep is good. Especially when you just got shot. Then sleep is very good."
She relaxed in his arms, leaning forward to rest her head against his collarbone. "Sleep, Craw. You need sleep."
She cracked a small smile against his chest, tilting her head so that she could listen to his heartbeat. "Yes, sir."
He eventually drifted off, the warmth helping him to fall asleep as his fingers ran subconsciously through her hair.
(Eh.... How about it's the last mission of the whole thing? It's everyone? And it's like... they're in the base?)
"Francis! Get to higher ground!" Dylan was beckoning him up the steps, her eyes narrowed with focus. The bullets rained around his cover and she held three black crystals that flashed dangerously in her hands.
He took a breath, following her up, trying his best to keep away from the incoming bullets. "Where are we headed?!"
She tossed the crystals over her shoulder as they hurried up the staircase. “The others. They’re holed up in this sort of temporary barricade. They’ve got the Book, but they’ve been cornered. We have to hurry.”
“Leave it to me. We just need to get to them before they are overwhelmed right now. Corpses don’t make very good teammates, after all.”
