There was a silence before the machine buzzed and moved forward, leaving the room to continue down the hall.
"They're probably out," she said sharply. "They didn't come back." She paused before looking up at him. "Thank you for coming back for me."
"No," she said, her hand on his arm. "Seriously. Thank you." She reached up and kissed him lightly on the mouth, her free hand curled against his chest.
She shrugged, heading to the door casually. "I figure we're both going to die in here without ever seeing our significant others again. Why not?"
He looked angry, shaking his head. "I plan on seeing my significant other again, and I'm going to fight for that pleasure."
They turned the corner and her eyes widened. "Yeah! This way. Come on, hurry." She began to run down the hall, pulling him forward.
