She turned the corner, revealing an archway that opened out into the snowy mountainside and a small ship hovering in the air with the Averlin symbol on the side. "There! Hurry!"
There was a terrible creaking sound from behind them as the machine followed them down the hallway. Dylan looked back and gasped before speeding up. "Don't look back. Hurry."
The plane door slid open and an agent extended a hand to them. Dylan leaped in and turned to reach for Francis."
As he leaped in, he would feel a sharp pain in his leg. Dylan gasped and pulled him in, closing the door behind him as the helicopter took off.
His leg had a long needle through his calf, the wound bleeding heavily. "Here, let me see," Dylan said, rolling up his pant leg.
She frowned as the agents swarmed around them . "I don't know. Around here, probably. Let me see or you're going to bleed out."
He would be able to recognize the agents that were around them as the ones that he and Poppy had traveled with. They seemed to be a badly bruised lot. Gavin has a split lip. A man with grey eyes and black hair had bruised arms. The man who had held Poppy had a black eye. Poppy was nowhere to be seen and Dylan began to work on his leg. "You were lucky. It didn't go through the artery."
He cleared his throat. "Well, uh... We didn't really encounter any Utrana agents along the way. This, uh... this was all from her," he said, gesturing to the bruises and cuts.
