She reached a hand out to him, her head tilted slightly. "This is... wow. Things have changed so much in the last 24 hours."
The helicopter began to descend as Poppy waited by the door, rubbing her arm with her free hand nervously. "Here we go," she murmured. "You ready?"
"As I'll ever be," she said with a sigh as the helicopter landed. Derrick came out of the cockpit a few minutes later, pulling off his headset. "We landed on the driveway," he said as the door hissed and opened. "The house is a little ways in."
Poppy took his hand and followed him. "Mm. Here's your keys," Derrick said, tossing them each a small keyring. "Call me when you get in, alright?"
She nodded slowly, slipping the keyring into her pocket. "Thanks for everything, Derrick," she said quietly as they stepped outside. The driveway was made of gravel and it winded behind the trees, obscuring the house from their view. On their other side, they could see a gate in this distance.
She took his hand and started walking down the road. "We have to figure out a name for this place," she said absently as they passed under a cherry tree. "My father always named our houses."
