She tilted her head thoughtfully, her thumb rubbing the back of his hand as they walked. "I'm not sure. We have to get the feel for it first."
She nodded hesitantly as they rounded the corner. The house in front of them was almost mansion-like, with tall white pillars that supported multiple balconies. The exterior was painted a bluish grey, and there were flowers surrounding the porch. It was slightly overgrown, with ivy climbing the walls and the windows dark. The path led to the front door.
She kissed his cheek before heading inside, her fingers brushing his waist as she passed. When she entered, she was immediately greeted by a large black dog, his tail wagging. "Oh, hi, sweet boy!" she said, kneeling down to kiss Tom's head. Their items had been packed in large, bulletproof containers and they now sat patiently in the main hall. The room they entered was vast, with a high ceiling. The wooden floor was dusty from being untouched. A large staircase led up to the second floor around the corner and there was a kitchen area past that. Large windows let in a lot of light to the room, bathing it in the golden evening.
