She frowned, standing on her tiptoes to feel his forehead.

“Are you sick? Are you dying?”

 

A slow smile crossed her face before she kissed him.

“I love you too.”

 

“Well, it’s scary when you start talking about how much you love me all of a sudden.”

 

"My darling, you can do it all you want. Just preface it with a comment about how you're not dying."

 

They got to the bottom floor where a broom laid patiently on the ground.

"Okay. I'm going to go grab some sheets."

 

"To make washcloths," she said, grinning up at him brightly. "To clean surfaces!"

 

"Not out. They're in the boxes and I'm not quite sure where."

 

"Damn straight," she agreed, pulling her hair tie out and frowning as her hair sprang out. She sighed and tied it back again.

"I'll be back."

 

"Really?" she asked with interest. "Any good?"

 

"Was it a pretty one, though?"
