He kissed her cheek, before resting his head, not bothering to lay her down. He shut his eyes and slowly nodded off.
The early morning light hit Poppy's face and she frowned in her sleep, shifting slightly in Francis' arms.
Poppy woke, blinking sleepily before her gaze settled on Francis. She paused before a small smile crossed her lips and she sat up, planting a soft kiss on his cheek.
She got into the shower, relaxing as the spray hit her back. She quickly washed up before stepping out, wringing out her hair with the towel. The clothes she had picked out were a simple pair of jeans and a grey v-neck and she slipped them on, brushing her teeth before leaving the bathroom.
"I am," she said, planting a kiss on the top of his head. "I was wondering if you wanted to go to breakfast with me in a little while? You can say no if you'd like."
