“Things as basic as food preferences can be open to the public. That’s stuff that people like you latch onto, distracting from the really important information.”
She smiled as they pulled out of the driveway, heading down the road. "I know that you're secretly incredibly kind and loving. I know that you hate waking up early in the mornings. I know that you have a large sense of moral duty. I know that you secretly enjoy cuddling, although you'd never tell. I know that you throw yourself into your work when you're sad."
The gate swung open for them and Poppy laughed lightly as they turned the corner. "I told you. I know you way better than you know me."
"I know of 'The Tilt', for one," he teased. "You're incredibly caring. You always wake up before me, and go make breakfast while listening to music. Dancing with the dog occasionally, might I add. You get worried whenever your plants aren't perfectly healthy. You don't like being taken care of. Your favorite color is spring green, and your favorite flowers are peonies. Those last two are more of outside things though."
“I love willow trees. I used to climb up them when I was a kid.” She paused before glancing at him. “What about you?”
He shrugged. "You knew about the salamanders. I don't like pomegranates and I have 25/20 vision, when is better than 20/20."
