The formality of the statement made her dimple and she took his hand, heading for the front door. "We shall."
The day still had the typical winter’s chill and her wet hair dripped onto the back of her neck. She wiped it away with her hand with a frown and got into the driver’s seat, looking over at him expectantly.
She kept her eyes on the road and seemed reluctant to respond. "Well, it's just... this life you're living now is really different from your old one."
She nodded slowly, checking the rearview mirror to change lanes. "Okay. You'd tell me, though, right?"
