She grinned, skating forward and kissing his cheek. “Understandable. Would it help if I help your hand?”
“It’s okay,” she said easily, leading him forward. “We can go off if you want, but I won’t let you hurt yourself. I promise.”
"No, you're not, baby," she said soothingly, her hands warm in his. "I won't let you. You're doing wonderfully."
"That's only because it's your first time," she said. "Once you do it for longer, you get less scared."
She laughed, but it was loving and she squeezed his hands. "I won't let go until you're ready, alright? Let me know if you want to get out of the rink."
