"But you're smaller and quicker."
"And yet I am being carried," she said, wrapping her legs around his waist.
"Because I caught you this time."
"I wasn't even ready, though!" she protested. "You just did it!"
"You wanted a fight, didn't you?"
"I did, but you weren't even counting down!"
"Do you want me to put you down?"
She paused before shaking her head. "Nah. I'm quite comfortable."
"Then what do you want?"
"What do I want?'
"Do you want me to just keep carrying you?"
"I expect you to, yes."
He nodded, kissing her cheek. "Fine. Works with me."
She laughed deeply in his ear, kissing his jawline. "Lovely. Thank you."
He looked around, before leaning against a tree. "I love you."
She smiled warmly, running her hand through his hair. "I love you too."
He kissed her forehead. "Hmm.. Are you excited for tonight?"
"Seeing as I have no idea what's going to happen, yes."
"Wonderful."
"Can you give me a hint or something?"
