"Mmhm. Yes, you do." She paused before giving him a teasing smile. "For example, you smile when you say 'I love you'."

 

She squinted at him, considering.

“See, now you’ve put me in a paradox. Because you weren’t smiling when you said that. So, either you’ve adjusted your behavior because of my comments or smiling while you lie is kinda like that thing with the squares and the rectangles.”

 

“Because it’s true. I believe the truth.”

 

“You smile when you lie.”

 

“It is. Smile right now and try to tell me the truth.”

 

"You aren't smiling, though," she said, her hands on the side of his neck.

 

“Well...” She leaned in and kissed his neck lightly. “I can’t believe you. You’re lying.”

 

"Mmhm," she murmured against his skin. "You're lying through your teeth."

 

She frowned at him before slipping out of his arms, giving him one final kiss before she took his hand.

"Hmph. Anyway. I actually have to go back to the house to wrap your gift. Is that okay?"
