She frowned, tilting her head before she reached over and put a hand to his jaw. "And I didn't want you to get me anything, so if that's what you're worried about..."
She sighed, taking his hand. "Well, I got you something. So, you're just gonna have to deal." She paused before an idea glinted in her eyes. "Actually - and you could say no - but would you mind splitting up for a while? I have to go pick this thing up, but you can't see where I'm going."
She frowned, straightening his collar. "Well, no, you don't have to do that... Unless you want to, of course. I just have to go into town to get it. We could meet somewhere for dinner after I'm done, maybe?"
She leaned her face into his hand, biting her lip thoughtfully. "Well, I don't have to go," she said slowly. "But I probably should eventually."
She laughed in spite of herself, taking a moment to slip her arms under his and embrace him, resting her head on his chest. "No, my darling. If you don't want me to leave, I won't leave."
