She laughed deeply, raising their hands to her lips and kissing the back of his hand.

“Too late. You said ‘yes.’”

 

“Well... that’s too bad. You made a decision.”

 

“You’re the one that made the decision! Not me!”

 

“Just out of spite? You’re cruel, Craw.”

 

“Fine. I’ll take the car too, then.”

 

She hesitated, twisting her engagement ring nervously.

“I’ll... jump out of the car.”

 

"I'll do it. I'll jump. It'll be miserable for everyone involved."

 

"Because I don't want you to crash, my darling."

 

She nodded slowly before taking his hand.
